Introducing Bollo!
I have a new mascot. His name is Bollo, the chicken salad. He slowly appeared in my luggage over the days I spent in Houston this month. Bollo started life as scraps of fabric, destined for greater things.
Shortly after his incarnation, some crazy Texan fowl decided Bollo would be better served for dinner. Since everything is larger in Texas, Bollo looked like pure quail meat in the skillet. Poor Bollo, how humiliating to be skillet fried with egg on his pants.
Fortunately, I was able to save Bollo before he got too fried. Eventually, he got his act (and body) together and made his way home with me.
Bollo is my new assistant. He will occasionally help me with my projects. But as anyone can tell you, chicken’s aren’t very smart.
Take today for instance. I found Bollo in my studio staring at my latest project. I’m sure he thought the pile before him was tasty worms.
I spent hours the night before creating that pile of fiber. Yet Bollo had no clue to the significance of the pile. He just sat their dumbfounded. I guess he forgot how her arrived in this world.
I snatched the pile away from him and proceeded to meet my deadline. A friend had commissioned me to make her some funky felted flowers. I think when my morning task was finished, Bollo understood. It didn’t take long for my foul chicken salad friend to kick back and enjoy the new found flower garden.
I’m sure this isn’t the last we’ve heard of Bollo.
