Having fun with Crayons!
I just passed the draft copy of my next article for Fibre & Stitch E-zine. How exciting! This will make my second time published this year. This time around I used some crayon techniques to make a cool cellphone bag.
If you’re interested in trying to make one, you need to subscribe to Fibre & Stitch, this pattern will be in the November edition.
I had a really good day today. I accomplished many things that will help me along the road as an artist. I made several contacts locally and am arranging an opportunity to teach classes. I’ll tell you more as things become definite. There’s some prep work that needs to get done first.
In August, I started a group for local professional artists. Just starting out we’re going to remain small, but the dynamics are fabulous. I don’t often see people help each other on their journeys. Some of the things I’ve done this week are a direct response to the support I received from this group. Recently I have also been involved with a group that isn’t “art” related that is full of people who don’t seem to care about supporting each other in the “cause.” It is so refreshing to be around this new group of friends.
Life is busy while I change my hats. I’m juggling things that I should let go of, but I not ready to just yet. What I’m realizing is that the opportunities are there. You just have to put them in your soul and act on them. Keeping the ideas in your head doesn’t won’t make them real. So…be real!
